Manchester six-piece blending indie rock and shoegaze with influences ranging from dance music to hardcore. Venkappa are creating new and exciting sounds but they still tug on nostalgia’s heartstrings.

For fans of Wolf Alice, Turnover and LCD Soundsystem. Venkappa are dreamy, loud, and a little bit emotional. Live, their reverb-drenched guitars, big choruses, and driving rhythm section make moments that can only be experienced in a mosh pit, or a group therapy session.

Making their debut in January 2026, Venkappa released their first single ‘Want’ before headlining a sold out Rose and Monkey, in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Their debut was followed by a visit to the O2 Ritz Manchester, opening up for Spangled in February. Venkappa’s second single, ‘LCD’,  was exclusively released on Bandcamp in February before further release in March. The exclusive release was Venkappa’s way of protesting against the streaming titans of the industry. ‘LCD’ featured on BBC Introducing during the 6Music Festival later in March.

Venkappa ended March heading into one of Manchester’s latest hot-spots, The Rat and Pigeon. Playing to another sold out crowd for their second headline, Venkappa will now focus on visiting new cities and towns across the UK.

Set to release their debut EP in Summer 2026, Venkappa are already creating a stir in the independent scene and it is just the beginning…
